Niamh is my gold award winning entry for Cake International in Birmingham, November 2014.
To give you an idea of her size, the board she sits on is approx 19" square, she has an internal structure and armature and is sculpted from sugarpaste and modelling chocolate, along with cake lace used for her petticoat, train and bodice decoration, her wings are gelatine.
She is completely modelled by hand with no moulds being used, I sculpted her body and then ‘dressed’ her. The leaves have all be individually cut and coloured from rice paper.
